Your selection of running shoes and other running gears is of great importance. You should remember that the conditions outside is quite demanding and sometimes messy too. So choose from the brands.

During winter running you need to stay warm. That is why you need to see whether appropriate layering has been maintained. Above freezing weather can be managed by one layer.

While running you may get too hot but that does not mean you are not going to use a long-sleeve moisture management type shirt and a pair of light gloves to protect you from the cold below freezing. You can cool down by taking these off if you need. You will be in such a situation if you are in Minnesota or upstate New York.

In cold weather you need to be well equipped with necessary gears to keep your hands and face safe from the biting cold. Usually the legs and body stay warmer than hands and face. Still a jacket shell may be added. Last but not the least, running shoes are of utmost importance.

If you are going to use dry pavements, you may not worry mush about your running shoes. You must avoid snowy consists and black ice in such a case. If you are in wet and messy condition, get the right shoes.
