Get Your Decals Straight- Not All Created Equal

by Terry Newton

Decals are made from cloth paper, ceramic or plastic substrate that has printed on it a customised pattern that can be moved to another surface on contact, usually with the employment of water or heat. This is different to sticker, since stickers are types of label that are typically made of paper or plastic with some pattern on the other. Choosing between the two is dependent upon the type of surface to be used or applied to, and its external environment to be exposed, along with the kind of decal paper to use.

Wall decals are water-proof and made of PVC. This may be attached to walls or other clean surface areas like laptop PC, autos, furniture for decorative and informative purposes. Wall decals have a standard lifespan of approximately 4 to 5 years, depending on the environment (moisture, outside, temperature) and decal paper. What's unique to decals is that you can change and remove it if you wish too.

Generally there are 2 types of decals; one is made from top quality self-adhesive pvc material.

Sophisticated computerized machines are used to chop wall decals. In this kind of decals, no edges are applied. It is like putting paintings on the wall once in place. Type A wall decals usually can last about 4-5 years without any sign of fading, degeneration, or peeling.

This kind of decal is the finest choice for cruel interior designs. The second sort of decal is formed also with a top quality self-adhesive pvc material. The pvc sheet is used to paint the wall stickers. This type of decal sometimes comes in more tiny designs than the former. Lifespan of this type would range to a little more than three years. The main variation it has to type A decal is that it doesn't need a transfer mechanism to use it on the wall, simply peel and stick it directly into the surface. It is convenient, fit for people who are always on a busy schedule!
