Don't ever think that metal detecting is a matter of luck because there are in fact helpful tips that you can follow so you would be able to find the proper item rather than the junk ones.

Many metal detectorists would think that an excellent area for hunting is a highly populated beach. This is far from the truth. It is actually better if you hunt for worthful things in distant beach areas. Most metal detectorists do better in these areas. Look for those areas where people do not go into the water that much.

Timing is also very essential in metal detecting on the beach. Friday night is an excellent time. The work week for most people, detectorist included, is still Monday through Friday. Hunting for things during a Friday night can be more beneficial. In fact, you can compare your results with others who did the metal detecting during other days.

Waiting for Saturday to come would be a bad idea for you since this day is when most of your competitors would come and more competitors means less chances of getting the accurate items.

Hunting during Sunday evening is never a bad idea too. This day is one of the silent days of the week. Although typically the area would be left clean already, there are still a big chance to find some right materials there. You could be just as pleased when you find them.

Remember that when talking about metal detecting on beaches, the amount always counts best. You will see that picking up everything you dug up is all worth it.

You will never miss the chance of finding something worthful out of all you have collected.
